Celebrating over 30 years of excellence!
At Village Green Nursery School, we offer a nurturing and structured environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive through the power of play. Our preschool programs are thoughtfully designed to support the developmental needs of young learners, providing a balance of structured activities and creative play. This approach helps prepare children for the exciting next steps in their educational journey, fostering curiosity, social skills, and a lifelong love of learning.
Although housed in and founded by the First Congregational Church of Southington, VGNS offers a non-sectarian program.

Marcie is extremely excited to be a part of VGNS and working with the nursery school’s children to help them learn and grow as well as to be able to support families so that parents and guardians feel empowered to take an active role in their children’s learning.

Tina Michaud

Tina is the Lead Teacher for both Apple Blossom 3’s and Apple Blossom 4’s. She has lived in Southington since 2003 with her family. She has a BA degree in child psychology from ECSU as well as a K-6 teaching certificate from CCSU. She has taught in both full day prekindergarten and kindergarten programs. During her time as a stay at home mom she volunteered in the classroom, helped run the drama club, and was the co-president of the PTO. She has been with Village Green since 2018. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets, the beach, traveling, and gardening.

Aimee Eaton
Head Teacher
Aimee is the head teacher for the Bluebird 3’s and 4’s classroom. She has her Master of Arts in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University. Prior to becoming a mother she worked in the field of early childhood for decades, from volunteer trips around the globe, nannying, in-home childcare and various center involvements.
During her time as a stay at home mother to her 3 boys she became more intimately aware of the world of early intervention. In this way she has a renewed passion for supporting not just children, but families. Despite extensive practice as a childcare provider, acquiring the role of parent has invoked her desire to become a more comprehensive source of support and encouragement for primary caregivers.
Aimee has been with Village Green since January 2022. When she is not playing, planning, or parenting, she enjoys alone time, books, tea or coffee with friends, card games, and exploring historic downtowns. She could live in a world of Octobers. A walk on the beach is a perfect way to end the evening, but a walk around the neighborhood will suffice. She lives in Plainville with her many boys and husband, kitty as well as their duo of guinea pigs.

She has been in the education field for 30+ years in many capacities, from owning her own home daycare for 14 years, being a toddler- preschool teacher in a center, and here at VGNS a teacher’s assistant. With her many attributes, she hopes to ignite children’s spark for knowledge and encourage each child to grow and appreciate the love of education and learning.
